NEW RESIDENCE PERMISSION REGULATIONS

New Residence Permit Regulations in Turkey

In 2022, several restrictions were introduced regarding residence permit procedures in Turkey. Although some neighborhoods remain closed to residence applications, many of Alanya’s most preferred districts among foreigners are still open. These include:

  • Oba

  • Tosmur

  • Central Districts

  • Kleopatra Region

  • Tepe – Bektaş

  • Konaklı

  • Payallar

  • Demirtaş

In these open neighborhoods, foreigners who purchase real estate can obtain a residence permit based on the property they acquire.

Previously, properties valued below USD 200,000 were not eligible for any type of residence permit. However, under the new regulations, it is now possible to obtain a residence permit even for properties below USD 200,000. This is a highly positive development for foreign property investors.

Now, foreigners can receive a touristic residence permit through residential properties valued under USD 200,000. This means that individuals who purchase a home in Alanya or Gazipaşa can now reside in Turkey for many years.
